The Sendai International Center, ideally located in Sendai, which was chosen as a Global MICE City by Japan tourism Agency in 2015, is the newest and largest convention center in the Tohoku region in Japan.
We were involved with the design of equipment and utilities, construction, and opening preparations of the Center's exhibition hall for nearly two and a half years, from 2013. Using our decades of experience, we worked to ensure the hall was easy to use for organizers and exhibitors, and incredibly convenient for participants. In 2015, as part of the Aobayama Consortium, JCS, along with 5 other companies, was selected as the designated administrator for Sendai International Center. Since then, in addition to managing and operating the facilities, we have worked to increase the number of international meetings held there, and currently, as a member of the Sendai Convention Promotion Committee, are working to make the region a more attractive place for the meetings industry, in addition to promoting it.

Kobe has a rich history as one of the most cosmopolitan and diverse cities in Japan, going back to the opening of its port in 1868. Kobe has continued this rich tradition since Port Island opened in 1981, and has continually hosted numerous successful international conferences. As recognition of this, Kobe was designated one of the Global MICE Cities by Japan Tourism Agency in 2015.
Kobe has had substantial success in attracting conferences to the city. In 2016, there was The G7 Kobe Health Ministers’ Meeting and in 2019 the World Congress of the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics with more than 5,000 attendees, and the 13th ISPRM World Congress. As a result of these, the city has reaped economic benefits of more than 92 billion Japanese yen. As a meetings-centric city, Kobe has been focusing on international conferences for city marketing, and there, JCS was awarded a contract as designated administrator, starting in 2010, to manage the Kobe International Conference Center. Through this, we are proud to help continue Kobe’s tradition and strategy as an international city.

We are responsible for not only operating these four facilities, located in Ikuta Park in Kawasaki City. In addition to operating the Taro Okamoto Art Museum, the Kawasaki Municipal Science Museum, the Japan Open-air Folk House Museum, and the Ikuta Park East Entrance Visitor Center, we also run a variety of events such as traditional crafts, Japanese indigo dyeing, food festivals, and fairs for local shops, in addition to conducting a wide variety of marketing activities.
Sayama Community Center
Starting in June 2012, we started preparations by formulating rules, regulations and manuals, and conducted training. Due to this, we were able to start operations in July 2012, after merely one month. One year after starting, usage of the multipurpose rooms was 70% while ensuring a high level of satisfaction due to our concept of friendship with the local community. In preparation for the Tokyo Olympic Games, we are planning to offer foreign language services as well.
