JCS and Congress Corporation receive the 2018 JNTO Award for Contribution to the Invitation and Hosting of International Conferences
On February 28, the 2018 JNTO Award for Contribution to the Invitation and Hosting of International Conferences was presented for the 49th IAPCO Annual Meeting and General Assembly at the 28th International MICE Expo Japan (IME2019) held in the Tokyo International Forum.
Congress Corporation President, Noriko Takeuchi and JCS President Hirotake Chikanami went on stage to receive the certificates of achievement and plaques from JNTO President Satoshi Seino for jointly inviting, preparing, and organizing the above event. Special thanks are extended to all parties concerned for helping us win this award.

The JNTO Award for Contribution to the Invitation and Hosting of International Conferences is given to an international conference evincing achievements that will be useful for the hosting or organizing of international conferences or that will contribute to communities in the future. The 49th IAPCO Annual Meeting and General Assembly was held in Tokyo in February 2018. Japan was accorded the opportunity to host this international conference for the first time in 25 years. The conference attracted 102 major professional congress organizers (PCOs) from 32 countries and regions, and provided us the opportunity to alter our perception with regard to the attractiveness of Japan as a venue for international conferences.
The event was evaluated highly since its legacy generated sustainable benefits and led to the enhancement of Japan’s presence in the world arena.
