JCS President Chikanami Delivers a Speech at the Endowed Lecture Series at Rikkyo University

JCS has conducted 14 lectures on “MICE theory and practice” since September 2018. Mr. Manabu Inoue, Director of MICE Promotion, Japan Tourism Agency and Mr. Makoto Batori of PACIFICO Yokohama have also appeared on stage as speakers in this lecture series to communicate a wide range of MICE-related issues to students including the importance of MICE in the tourism industry, relevant policies, and the varied businesses supporting MICE. President Chikanami explained the history of professional congress organizers and the prospects of the MICE industry in the final lecture in a cogent and lucid manner, referring to actual examples.

JCS will continue to spontaneously promote such collaborations between industry and academia as well as to contribute to MICE-related human resource development going forward.
