JCS is Proud to Operate the International Media Center for the Emperor’s Enthronement

JCS was proud to manage the International Media Center (IMC) for the enthronement of the Emperor on Tuesday, October 22nd and Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019. The enthronement, which proclaims the ascension of the Emperor to the throne, was attended by representatives of 191 countries and international organizations. Moreover, media representatives from across the world visited Japan to cover this momentous occasion.

For this occasion, the Japanese government established the IMC at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel as a base for the non-Japanese media to report on the enthronement worldwide. JCS was responsible for preparing transmission facilities and managing press facilities, arranging language specialists and information staff for the non-Japanese media to smoothly share this historic occasion with the rest of the world.
