 第9回国際統合医学会学術集会を、2008年7月12日に東京駅に直結した新設の東京ステーションコンファレンスにて開催させていただくことになりました。メインテーマは「人類の敵、がんと血管病に挑む」です。
「最新免疫シンポジウム」は北海道大学の西村孝司教授と千葉大学の高橋豊の座長で免疫治療の第一人者を招いてがんやさまざまな病気に効果を示す最新の研究・治療成果を議論します。また、「The
first symposium of ISVH Japan」ではInternational Society of Vascular
Health; ISVH（国際血管健康学会）会長のRoland Asmar教授（フランス）、理事のJohn Cockcroft教授（イギリス）およびHongyu
Wang教授（中国）を招待して開催します。そして特別講演1として今世紀最大の環境問題である地球温暖化に焦点をあてた「地球温暖化と感染症」を国立感染研究所の倉根
一郎ウイルス第1部部長に御講演いただきます。最後に特別講演2として「医療の倫理向上をめざして -世界から学ぶ- 」と題して、昭和天皇の執刀医としても著名な東京大学名誉教授、日本赤十字病院名誉院長の森岡恭彦先生が、今こそ、全ての医療従事者に必要な医の精神、ヒューマニズムに光を当て、インフォームドコンセントの真の意味、生きる権利と死ぬ権利等について御講演いただきます。英語の講演およびシンポジウムには同時通訳をつけてそれぞれの理解を深めるようにいたしました。また動脈硬化診断器機や代替医療についてのハンズオンセミナー等も開催されます。医師、コメディカル、学生をはじめ医療に携わる幅広い方々を対象とした統合的な学会です。有意義な会になりますように、多くの方々の御参加を心よりお待ちしております。

We
are pleased to announce that the 9th International Congress of the
Integrative Medicine will be held on July 12, 2008 at the newly opened
Tokyo Station Conference, which is directly accessible from Tokyo Station.
The main theme of this conference is "Fighting the Enemies of Humankind: Cancer and Vascular Disease."
The "Cutting-Edge Immunity Symposium" will
welcome Professor Takashi Nishimura of Hokkaido University and Professor Yutaka
Takahashi of Chiba University as chairpersons, and will feature leading figures
in immune therapy who will discuss the latest research and treatment results
for cancers and various diseases. In the 1st Symposium of the International Society
of Vascular Health (ISVH) Japan, Professor Roland Asmar of France, President
of ISVH, will be in attendance, as will board members Professor John Cockcroft
of the United Kingdom and Professor Hongyu Wang of China. As our first special
lecture, we have on the program "Global Warming and Infectious Diseases" to be conducted by Dr. Ichiro Kurane, director of the National Institute of
Infectious Diseases, who will expound the greatest environmental challenge of
our time, global warming. In our second special lecture entitled "Improving the Ethics of Medical Care: Learning from the World," Dr. Yasuhiko Morioka, Professor Emeritus of the University of Tokyo and Director
Emeritus of Japanese Red Cross Medical Center, and who is also the personal surgeon
of the late Emperor Showa, will focus on the spirit of medicine needed by all
health practitioners, humanism, and speak on the true meaning of informed consent,
the right to live, and the right to die. To ensure good mutual understanding,
there will be simultaneous English interpretation during English speaking sessions
and symposia. A hands-on seminar on arteriosclerosis diagnostic equipment and
alternative medicine will also be held. This is a holistic congress that targets
a wide range of people, including physicians, co-medicals, and students. We earnestly
hope that this congress will be a resounding success, and look forward to welcoming
all the participants to Tokyo. |
